CHARTING A NEW COURSE FOR THE FUTURE
OF CREATIVITY AND PRODUCTIVITY

Canva Create is an event like no other. And in 2025, it was our biggest one yet. More than 4,000 people joined us in person, and over two million tuned in online as we launched a suite of products designed for an uncharted new era.

Our theme was both an invitation to discover new ways to work with Canva, and a subtle nod to our biggest launch of the day — Canva Sheets. But spreadsheets and data aren’t typically associated with creativity, so it was up to us to show the world just how inspiring data can be. And, in the process, encourage people to attend the event, discover new ways of working, and unlock their true potential.

THE SHOW

With our creative director of brand away for this Canva Create, I was entrusted with leading creative for the keynote — working closely with our founders, product marketing leads, and talent.

The keynote was a true celebration of our global community, focused on granting their wishes for the future of Canva. It blended product launches with brand storytelling and musical guests in a way that no other tech brand can.

Watch it for yourself, but be warned: you’ll be singing “please add the wedigets” for a month.

BRAND SYSTEM

Inspired by the launch of Canva Sheets, we set out to challenge the idea that spreadsheets are a place of rigid rows, static cells, and fixed thinking. So we transformed the humble spreadsheet cell into a portal of possibility.

Our portal comes alive in motion — selecting, extending, and filling with content to reflect the product’s UI and create a sense of momentum. The event identity was designed to show just how beautiful data can be.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Canva Create is all about our community, and this was reflected in our photography. Every image features a Canva community member who shared their story with us, resulting in a series of expressive portraits full of authenticity, personality, and heart.

IMPACT + REACH

Canva Create: Uncharted was our most successful event to date, thanks in no small part to our wildly talented team and their commitment to thinking outside the box.

In the first week alone, the event generated 35M+ social impressions, 2M+ keynote views, and community sentiment soared — proving that when creativity and productivity come together, the sky’s the limit.
